We had a great Christmas. My parents and brother came to stay for a little over a week in our 6 hundred-and-nothing square-foot condo. You’d think we’d be over-crowded and ready to kill each other after that, but we had a great time. It was busy and crowded, but it was a joyous time to see my family again after over a year! Sarah even enjoyed them! (My wife is a trooper!) The gift theme for me this year was comic book graphic novels, cause I’ve been re-discovering the joy of reading those over the last year. Got myself a stack of great Marvel and DC stuff to read. Grandma, Grandpa, and uncle Andy finally got to meet wee Henry, and I posted a pile of pics in the gallery of us enjoying Christmas in a mountain of wrapping paper. I have to admit I got a bit teary when they had to ship off back to Utah (they drove!). Dallas has been really good to us, but it still gets me that the fam has to be so far away. But it was great to hang out with Andy. We dragged him to the Tipperary Inn Pub one night and had a great time. Andy and I were dragged up to the stage to play with the Irish band a couple times and hung out with great people. All-in-all, it was a great Christmas.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5)
